Waste management / waste tyre processing

In 2022, we delivered and integrated modules 2 and 3 of ACTROM technology into the existing waste processing operations of a major waste management company in East London.
These modules transform gas from a pyrolysis line processing waste tyres into purified and compressed gaseous fuel, which the client uses directly in their vehicle fleet and material handling equipment.
The client carries out their own tyre recycling – the material is shredded in their own equipment and subsequently processed in a pyrolysis module. The output gas from this process enters our module 2, where it is cooled and thoroughly purified. It then proceeds to module 3, where the gas is compressed to a pressure of 250 bar.
The result is CNG (compressed natural gas) produced from waste tyres without CO₂ emissions, which is subsequently used to fuel vehicles, forklifts and other handling equipment.
This implementation represents a practical demonstration of how ACTROM technology can transform waste management operations into an ecological energy unit that not only solves the waste problem but simultaneously produces usable fuel for their own needs.
