On an area of 3,600 m², from January to April 2025, we constructed covered parking for 132 spaces with a new photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of 400.2 kWp without energy storage. The system consists of 870 JA SOLAR photovoltaic panels with an output of 460 Wp and FRONIUS inverters from the TAURO ECO and SYMO series, ensuring high efficiency and reliable operation of the entire plant. Thanks to the use of ground screws for the structure itself, the installation could be carried out without major disruptions to the manufacturing facility and without significant modifications to the existing car park.
The power plant is crucial for ensuring production capacity during the summer months, when energy consumption is at its peak and the distribution grid is no longer able to meet the facility's needs due to the connection capacity being fully utilized. Without it, the machinery would have to reduce operating hours, resulting in losses amounting to tens of thousands of CZK per hour. In-house electricity generation thus enables smooth operation even during the hot summer.
The project was supported by a grant of nearly CZK 3 million and represents a prime example of how an ecological solution can be meaningfully integrated with everyday business operations – employees park in the shade while the company produces its own green electricity.
