Let's imagine a mechanical engineering company from the South Moravian Region that operates a production hall with its own administrative building and wants to reduce its electricity costs by installing a photovoltaic power plant.

After consultation with Alternative Energy Systems project designers, they decided to install a 250 kWp PV plant on the roof of the production hall.

Consumption Analysis and Solution Design

The company has an annual electricity consumption of approximately 420 MWh. Most consumption occurs during working days in two-shift operation (6:00 AM - 10:00 PM). During weekends, consumption is significantly lower, but some systems such as servers, cooling, and security elements operate continuously.

Project Financing

The project is financed through a combination of the RES+ grant program and the company's own resources.

The grant support amounting to 1.5 million CZK covers 30% of the total eligible costs, which significantly accelerates the return on investment.

Technical Solution

The project includes installation of 400 pieces of photovoltaic panels with 500 Wp power and 23.5% efficiency. The panels will be placed on a special structure with east-west orientation (so-called east-west system), which maximizes the utilization of the flat roof.

The installation will include modern Fronius Tauro inverters with a 12-year warranty and an online monitoring system connected to Alternative Energy Systems' control center.
