Ground PV at EUROVIA quarry in Dolánky 2026

In the Ústí nad Labem Region, we installed a ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 333.85 kWp for EUROVIA Kamenolomy.

The plant is located on an excavated section of the quarry with limited potential for further use — a typical brownfield site — turning land that would otherwise lie idle into a source of energy. No agriculturally or otherwise valuable land was affected.

Prior to the PV installation, the terrain was fully prepared. Cascading terraces were created to allow the installation of mounting structures for the photovoltaic panels. The project included complete electrical works: from panel installation and DC wiring to the inverters, through to the connection of the AC side to the main distribution board of the substation.

The project was designed in accordance with the investor's requirements and in coordination with other disciplines (geology, structural engineering, and dendrology), with an emphasis on efficient operation and long-term system reliability.

The plant consists of 607 monocrystalline panels with a capacity of 550 Wp and a minimum efficiency of 21.0%. The panels are positioned to maximise the solar potential of the site. Power is generated by four inverters (INV1–INV4) with a combined rated output of 307 kW.

Grid connection to the ČEZ distribution network was completed, including the provision of operational data transmission and dispatch control.

The result is a reliable source of clean energy that reduces EUROVIA Kamenolomy's dependence on grid supply and contributes to the long-term optimisation of their energy management.
