Photovoltaic power plant installation in Břeclav in 2025

In the summer, we completed the installation of a 49.92 kWp photovoltaic power plant supplemented with a 102.4 kWh battery storage system on the roof of the VHS Břeclav a.s. building.

The solar panels were installed on the roof of the main building, and the energy produced is primarily used to power the workshops, office air conditioning, and electric vehicle charging.

Innovative technology for roofs with low load-bearing capacity.

We used 96 Sunman 520 Wp monocrystalline photovoltaic panels with a minimum efficiency of 19.3% and dimensions of 2246x1197x2 mm. These photovoltaic panels are bonded to the support profiles and roofing material – this is an innovative technology we selected as an advantageous alternative given the roof's load-bearing capacity. The load is only 5 kg/m² instead of the usual 15 kg/m². This is a game changer for roofs that lack sufficient structural load-bearing capacity, as this technology makes it possible to fit them with PV panels.

An KSTAR inverter with a rated output of 50 kW was also installed.

The project also includes a 22 kW charging station that enables simultaneous charging of two vehicles, whether company-owned or visitor.

Estimated energy savings: over CZK 170,000/year
Return on investment: approximately 10 years
